Variable Speed DC gensets
Before the launch of the High Efficiency Products family developed by Ausonia, the market wrongly thought that the only way to be efficient in order to achieve significant fuel savings was to operate an AC generator in cycling mode with storage batteries, calling "hybrid" such power system. The variable speed DC generator technology developed by Ausonia disproved such belief and showed that it's possible to be even more efficient with the generator only (reaching 0,4 lt/kWh), allowing to use the batteries only if a longer autonomy is needed or if Client needs to integrate the system in parallel with other energy sources available on site (PV modules, Micro Wind turbines, Bad grid). If this happens, and there is no load switch among the energy sources, then the system can be a considered as really "Hybrid".
HIM consists of a variable speed DC generator which charges a battery bank in cycling mode and powers the load at the same time. Due to its battery cycling concept it’s possible to reach a fuel consumption rate of only 0,4 lt/kWh even for very low load demand. The module can be easily integrated in parallel operation with Bad Grid and/or PV panels to charge the Li-ions battery bank, in order to achieve further fuel savings. More »

THEM consists of two variable speed DC generators, working in dual mode and automatically switching in parallel mode, when necessary, depending on the instantaneous BTS load demand. With the capability to reach a fuel consumption rate of only 0,4 lt/kWh, the module takes the most achievable benefits from the use of variable speed DC generators completely redundant, without the necessity of battery packs.
